August Sacramento Home Sales Data Support Stabilization Thesis
The overall volume of home sales in the 8-county Sacramento region dropped about 16% from the year ago period while prices were firm month to month. The median sales prices of a home in Sacramento County was $180,000 - the same as July but up from $160,000 in February. The median sales price of a home in Placer County was $305,000 - up from $295,500 in July and down only 8% from $330,000 in August ‘08.
