More Color On Goldman Earnings: November Was “Horrible”

“We’re cautious about the near term outlook for our businesses as we see dislocation in some of the world’s capital markets has continued.”

David Viniar, CFO, Goldman Sachs, in today’s conference call with analysts

Charlie Gasparino reported on CNBC this morning just after 12pm EST that a senior Goldman executive told him that November was “horrible” and the last two weeks were possibly the worst in the company’s history.  I recommend taking a look at Gasparino’s brief report on CNBC (Gasparino CNBC Video Clip).  It’s pretty incredible and I’m surprised Goldman’s shares didn’t sell off more than they did after that.
