Local Restaurants And Retailers Closing Left And Right

Back in January, I wrote about how the fast Asian restuarant Pick Up Stix had closed its location on the corner of Douglas and Sierra College Boulevard – along with all its other Sacramento locations.

This past Saturday I went to the TGI Friday’s on Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights – only to find that it was closed.  I called today and found out they closed it on August 25th.

Mark & Monica’s, the great family and sports restaurant in Granite Bay, also closed recently.

The Melting Pot restaurant in Rocklin is closing after today, according to a profile in The Sacramento Bee.

Linens n’ Things is closing shop and liquidating their entire inventory.

Mervyn’s announced two weeks ago that they’re doing the same.

Ditto for Shoe Pavillion.
