Market Action After Christmas Through Year End

December 23, 2007 at 9:43 am  ·  Category: Market Commentary

BeSpoke Investment Group has a post up on how the market has performed, on a yearly basis, after Christmas through the end of the year.

Hard to draw conclusions from the data, but it looks like there is an upward bias though bear markets and periods of bad news can lead to selling.

After Friday’s big rally, I’d guess that, currently, there is an upward bias.  Unless there is some bad news, markets will probably trade up somewhat (.2%-.5%) to a good amount (1%) next week.
